Highland High School is the only high school in the Antelope Valley to
offer five distinct language programs: Spanish, French, Latin,
German, and Spanish for Spanish Speakers. All five programs are
designed to prepare students for further university study. The
foreign language department leads the school in the maintenance of a
college-preparatory culture. All courses in the department meet
the University of California A-G requirements and the
ACTFL
Performance Guidelines. Additionally, International Baccalaureate
courses meet the requirements of the
International Baccalaurate Organization
and Advance Placement courses meet the requirements of the
College Board. |
