Comprehensive Guidance Program/Counseling:
The Counseling staff welcomes everyone back to school! Our
counseling staff is here to assist you in any way we can. We said
goodbye to Mr. and Mrs. Chronister, who retired at the end of this year,
but we welcome Mrs. Elinor Kun and Mr. Larry Queen to our staff.

our availability, please call our office at extension 376 to schedule an
appointment before coming in.
Schedules:
All returning students had the opportunity to select classes
during spring registration.
Students will receive their class schedules the first day of school.
If you do not plan to return to Highland for the 2009-10 school year,
please call us at 661-538-0304, press “0”, and leave a message with our
receptionist.
INCOMING FRESHMEN INFORMATION:
Final registration dates/times for incoming freshmen who did not
register last spring are July 21 at 5:00 p.m., and July 30 at 7:00 p.m.
These are the final opportunities to register prior to the start
of school. Please bring the
following documents to register:
a copy of your child’s immunization records; two (2) utility
bills reflecting the parent/guardian’s name and address; copy of birth
certificate and a copy of their junior high diploma. If your child is
coming from outside of California, he or she will also need a TB (Mantoux)
test. You cannot register your child without the above information.
Freshmen Orientation
(large gym): All Freshmen are invited to attend our Link Crew
Orientation on Wednesday, July 29th 8 AM – 1 PM. We hope to
see you there! Students will be contacted with more information during
the summer. Beat the mad rush and purchase P.E. clothes, ASB cards and
yearbooks during Orientation. Once school starts, Student Store hours
will be 7 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., Monday through Friday. If you have any
questions, please contact Mr. Butterfield, extension 397.
